Review: The Queen B* and the Homecoming King

The Queen B* and the Homecoming King
The Queen B* and the Homecoming King by Crista McHugh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The last (sadly) book of the Queen B* series. I really hated to see this end, because I felt there was so much more that could happen. But they always end…

Alexis and Brett are back in the final book. She’s still the blogging Queen B* and he’s…a footballer. They’re trying to make it work, this mock or trial or prelim relationship. She’s as nervous as heck to have her high school world collide with his. Hers is two friends and his is the whole school. It was the perfect amount of drama that only high school can provide.

This book, though, was still lacking the blog snippets, though Alexis was back in blogging form. But, there were so many additional characters, so many little stories…I loved it. It reminded me of Swans Crossing…? (Anyone get that? Sarah Michelle Gellar? Or am I the only one who watched that show back in the 90s?) Anyway…

I loved this book as much as the first. Even though there were less blogging and sleuthing, there was WAY MORE drama. Which really is what wins it. LoL. (#ImmaDork) Which is why this one is a solid four.
