My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I want to say this was definitely above four stars but not quite five for me.

This is the continuation of Drew and Trent’s story. Drew is now the face of a new indie racing circuit. Trent is running towards graduation and trying to find a frat pres to take the helm when he leaves. They’re trying to work things out in the will they/should they tale.

It was a nail biter to the end…and so worth a read. So much to love as Trent and Drew traverse the fine line of having a relationship and putting it out there or keeping it quiet or just giving up. And let me tell you, a racer and a footballer do not like to give up…unless it means keeping a happy life.

The only thing I didn’t like about this was the feeling of redundant thoughts towards the end of the book. To me–and maybe I just read too many of these types of stories–it was like a skipping record of the constant internal arguments. (I admit to even having this same problem in what I write, so it’s not bothersome so much as always in my mind that I notice.)

Still worth a read, especially when it comes to the need to know what happened next and what will they decide.

Also, the book covers are designed to mimic the magazine interviews within the story. Reminds me of that television show I liked in the 90s, Just Shoot Me.

There are two more books in the series, but this one concludes Drew and Trent’s tale beautifully.

*A NOVEMBER 2016 READ* The last one…the end of the year stretch is here…
